Bobbleheads
by StillGroggy inanyone ever been in a meeting and notice the constant head-nodding in zombified agreement that witnesses do.
it drives me crazy!
especially since it seems to increase and be accompanied by little "hmmms" whenever someone says something that is complete bullshit.

I'm sure at some point I could have been found nodding but not often and it would have to have been because I actually agreed with that which had been said. Towards the end I was doing a lot of head shaking in disbelief at what I was hearing. Always the odd one out.

SUMMER 2007: WT RESEARCH
by pixel ini'm planning this summer to go to bethel and read with my owns eyes all those stupid quotes that the wt had published since its creation.
i just wanna do that for fun and i may find some new eye-opening info.
my question is as follows:.

And you would think that with the proper "library card" someone with the UN at least would be granted permission to the WT libraries. Nahhhh, that would be something akin to turnabout equaling fair play or somesuch nonsense and that would never do.
disclaimer: just one person's slightly inebriated rambling - nevermind. -

Views of worldy folk as a witness
by fifi40 ini bring this subject up because personally i dont get it.. i have noticed that some posters use words such as 'evil' or 'stinking goats' to describe the view (either their own adopted view or that of the jw org) they had of worldly people whilst a jehovahs witness.. the reason i find this difficult to understand is because i never felt that way toward 'people of the world' whislt being a believer of of the teachings of the jw organisation.
and i didnt pick up on it being rammed down my throat by the org either.
now i wonder if i was ignorant of something, not paying enough attention or if it is just each individuals approach toward life that makes the difference.. what were your views of 'people of the world and why?.

Not only did they have to watch out for the goats on the outside, they had to be wary of the wolf in sheep's clothing on the indside. It really was / is a zoo. Just a thought though, were all goats classed together? Mountain goats? No chance for them I suppose? And what of the cute little pygmy goats? Goners as well?
Goats: (Capra hircus):
--Unlike sheep, goats easily revert to feral or wild condition given a chance. In fact, the only domestic species which will return to a wild state as rapidly as a goat is the domestic cat. --
I suppose maybe we are goats after all but it's those damn domestic cats that we have to be careful of. :) -

We're entering a global ice age very soon now. --- We're heating up the planet and it won't be habitable - very soon now.
You'd think the WT is behind it all from the doomsday tone. Why can't we all just get along and "Have a Nice Age". It's all in the spin after all. Bumper stickers available soon. Very soon. -

What kind of hobbies would you like to try?
by Lady Lee inwe were deprived of so much as jws.
service and meeting had to come first which meant putting a lot of interests on the side - waiting for the new world when of course we would be too busy trying to convert the resurrected.
i've tried many different things.

Interesting lists folks. Time seems to be a big factor against us. ;( Time and money.
I've pretty much tried most of my wish list of hobbies - short list that it is! Computers in general but more specifically videography & video editing are what I'd like to pursue currently. Again, no time though. The music stuff I'm no good at but would like to have a set of electronic drums to putter around with and not drive the neighbors bonkers. -

lol @ Zena's "I'm a cracker" line.
I do the neck & back crackin' from time to time but I don't force anything. It does seem to help ease or get rid of some headaches too. People tell me of their experiences with chiropracters and I think I'll stay away from the professional crackers. For now at least.
